House note · Vol. 01

We make the tees
we wanted to find.

A small label of considered cotton, made in deliberate runs under the Makers Mantra umbrella.

The studio

№ 01 · Beginning

We made the tee we couldn't find.

UNDER-SIMPLE began as a small studio note: a single search for a tee with the right weight, the right neckline, and the kind of quiet print that didn't ask to be looked at. We never found it. So we drafted one. Then we drafted twelve more.

№ 02 · Material

Heavyweight cotton, woven slowly.

Each piece is cut from 220-gsm long-staple cotton, milled to soften with wear rather than thin. Necklines are reinforced. Hems are finished by hand. Nothing here is meant to be replaced next season.

№ 03 · Practice

Small runs, finite editions.

We release in capsules of three to five pieces and retire each one after its run. No restock cycles, no logo theatre. The catalogue you see today is exactly what's in studio — when it's gone, it's gone.

№ 04 · House

Quietly under Makers Mantra.

UNDER-SIMPLE is part of the Makers Mantra family — a collective of small, considered labels. We share a studio, a darkroom, and a single rule: less, but better. On cotton.

Currently in studio

Three pieces, patiently made.
